At Southern Dental Care, our all-female staff is full of bright, accomplished women dedicated to providing the best dental services in the greater New Orleans area.
Dr. Lacey Andreotta graduated from LSU School of Dentistry and completed several hours in Dental Forensics and Advanced Endodontic Training and spent many hours volunteering at LSU’s Interim Hospital in the Dental Surgery Department. She has been working in the dental field for over 10 years and is the owner of Southern Dental Care. Not only is this office have an all female staff but the owner is a woman that has dedicated her life to the advancement of other women in her field.
Dr. Lenore Garrity is another dentist at Southern Dental Care. She, like Dr. Andreotta, attended LSU School of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dentistry degree. Dr. Garrity is in good standing with the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association and the New Orleans Dental Association. Not only is she Dr. Andreotta’s dentist, but they are best friends and now co-workers.
Our dental assistants and receptionists are also women. Devin Perrin is Southern Dental Care’s Office Manager and Financial Coordinator. She attended LSU School of Dentistry to receive her Radiology and Dental Assistant degrees. Controlling the finances and day to day management of the office is a big job, but we would trust no one else!
Our 3 Dental Assistants include: Maranda Adams, Dawn Giffins Sievers and Jenna Sapia. Like everyone in our office, they all received their certifications from the LSU School of Dentistry and they are all CPR and Life Support certified as well. Our Dental Assistants are key at making patients feel calm and comfortable in our office and they provide a great deal of relief and assistance to the dentists during procedures.
Many patients understand the need for women in dentistry. Some patients may want to have a choice with regard to health care and may not want to be limited to receiving services from a man. There are also other benefits from diversity because there will be more professional workers who can make new discoveries. The advancements for social progress could occur much more quickly with a more diversified workforce. Children could be encouraged by male and also by female role models when envisioning a future career.
