How Does HealthyStart™ Work?
Depending on the age of your child, treatment with the BPA, silicone, and latex-free appliance may be completed in phases:
Habit-Corrector –
Worn while sleeping for one-five months, this device corrects oral habits (like thumb-sucking) that can have a damaging effect on your child’s dental health.
Second Phase –
Your child will wear this customized appliance at night for two-six months. This device helps move incoming teeth into their correct position, aligns the jaws, and expands arches to allow room for incoming adult teeth.
Final Phase –
Once your child has four permanent teeth, the final phase of treatment begins. This appliance accommodates incoming adult teeth and ensures their proper alignment.
